Join us Saturday, October 17, for Rock the Stigma, an evening dedicated to raising awareness, supporting mental health, and reminding our community that no one has to face their struggles alone.
Mental health challenges are often difficult to talk about. Depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts can affect people from every background, including those who seem happy and strong on the outside. Too often, fear of judgment or the feeling of being a burden keeps people from asking for the help they need.
Rock the Stigma aims to help change that.
Hosted in support of the Xan You Matter Foundation, this special event brings people together through music, community, and a shared commitment to ending the stigma surrounding mental illness. It is an opportunity to honor lives, support those who are struggling, and encourage more open, compassionate conversations about mental health.
A Mission Rooted in Hope
The Xan You Matter Foundation was created following the loss of Alexander “Xan” Leon, who died by suicide in October 2019 at the age of 20. Although Xan was talented, caring, and deeply valued by those around him, he struggled with his mental health. His story reflects a painful reality: we cannot always see what someone is experiencing beneath the surface.
Through its work, the foundation seeks to provide resources, education, and hope for people affected by depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. Its mission is to raise awareness, encourage honest conversations, and help people feel less alone.
Rock the Stigma carries that mission into the community. By attending, sharing the event, or making a donation, you can help support efforts that make mental health information and resources more accessible.
Live Music with a Meaningful Purpose
Music has a way of bringing people together, creating connections, and giving us space to feel understood. At Rock the Stigma, it will also help bring attention to a cause that deserves our care and understanding.
Liars Who Lie will be performing live, providing the evening’s musical entertainment while guests gather in support of mental health awareness. The event will also feature a 50/50 raffle and silent auction, offering additional ways to participate and contribute to the cause.
Whether you come with friends, family, or on your own, your presence is an opportunity to stand alongside others who believe that mental health deserves understanding rather than judgment.
